Johnston Educator’s Appreciation Celebration 

May 8th, 2024

Camp Dodge Freedom Center, Johnston, IA 

The Johnston Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the annual Johnston Educator Appreciation Event on May 8th, 2024. It is our committee’s responsibility to seek donations for food, drink, and prizes for approximately 400 Johnston school educators and staff. The event continues to grow each year due to the fact that the Johnston Community School District is one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state of Iowa. We have the challenging task of organizing the funding for this event. It is a time for JHS Staff to come and relax in a non-school atmosphere with others from various buildings, while also recognizing our retiring teachers. The staff looks forward to this event each year. 

We would like to, again, extend this opportunity for you to not only reward these valuable educators for another year well done but also advertise your business to over 400 Johnston consumers. This year we are offering additional benefits to further extend your advertising dollars. We hope you find them as exciting as we do.

We will also have designated tables for business takeaways. This is a great way to highlight your business at the event. Participation in this requires a monetary or in-kind donation of $100 or greater. Items should be small in size (i.e. pens, coupons, key chains, magnets, koozies, etc.) in a quantity of approximately 400. Donations should be turned in or picked up by April 23rd at 1pm.
