About

Johnston Partnership for a Healthy Community was started over 25 years ago by a group of school nurses within the Johnston Community School District who wanted to help students struggling to get enough to eat. These nurses saw a need and they came together to address it.

Today, the Partnership continues to serve families and individuals in Johnston, and the greater Des Moines community. We do this by creating programs to address specific needs in our community. The Partnership also serves as a catalyst for uniting local organizations and individuals to provide services that are not currently available through other resources. 

We operate a food pantry/clothing closet, and run other programs in support of the JCSD including JUMP, weekend food programs, and other seasonal events.

Business Hours : Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays 9am-1pm & Tuesdays 4-6pm
